When it comes to architecture and places to visit in New York, we are attracted as much by the beauty of its buildings as by its latest metropolitan styles - layered & overlapped looks, made up of technical jackets, chequered flannel overshirts, denim, and coats with a clean yet sporty line. Our stroll starts at the tree-lined avenues of the sunny Greenwich Village, amidst its brownstones, its University of New York buildings, its jazz clubs, cafés and theatres. From here, take the High Line, created on a former elevated railway, as far as The Vessel. This monumental bronze-clad structure created by the architect Thomas Heatherwick, featuring two thousand steps and standing forty-five metres high, offers a spectacular view as far as the Hudson River. Next, cross Midtown, north of Manhattan, and visit the MoMA, which collects some of the most important modern and contemporary works of art, sculptures, multimedia installations and photographs in the world.
